A Festive Pink Cocktail

In search of a festive pink cocktail for a baby shower this weekend, I came across a recipe in one of those "simplify your life" magazine's holiday issue. However, it called for an ounce of this, two of that, an ounce of another; a bit of "dissolve in a saucepan," finished off with a sprig of something else. Way too complicated for a large crowd, I thought.

I mulled over the essence of the components, and this is my distillation of the drink.

The Unpretentious Pink Cocktail

Ingredients:
  • Cranberry Juice
  • Chilled Champagne

Fill a large pitcher half-way with cranberry juice. Fill the other half with chilled champagne. Poor into champagne flutes. Enjoy!

The guests raved about it!

But be careful! They are deceptively yummy. My mom drank three of them because she thought it was punch. Always drink responsibly.
